THE BOTTLECAP BOYS:
The Bottlecap Boys are pure, insatiable energy. Guaranteed to lift your spirits, their infectious, boot-stompin’ folk captures the freedom and vastness of middle America with a city pace. A fiery praise for the ‘onward and upward’ fuels The Bottlecap Boys’ magnetic performances. Their freight train harmonies come barreling down the tracks, blowing by stories of ex-lovers and future lovers. They play with such a raw, exultant tenacity that you imagine they’re hollerin’ at the big blue sky with their feet planted firmly on greener pastures. Together, The Bottlecap Boys offer an atmosphere of care-free exuberance through their joyful charisma and camaraderie. Challenge your face to push the borders of its smile!

Their story began on 2006 when Ross Becker and Lukas Borsten embarked upon their college careers at the University of Puget Sound. Ross, hailing from New Hampshire, and Luke, from Oregon, met in the first week of school and began playing music together immediately. Being multi-talented musicians, the two played together in a number of groups of various genres–funk, folk, hip hop, blues–strengthening their musical bond. After graduating, the duo moved to Portland and picked up classically trained Michael Raley on the upright bass, adding a raucous, rhythmic root. Since then, they have been seducing (musically) Portland audiences, young and old.
