CURE FOR THE COMMON:
In three short years, Cure for the Common has gone from a basement concept to published & regionally acclaimed funk rockers, having shared stages with a range of acts and genres including John Butler Trio, Big Sam’s Funky Nation, Bassnectar, Blackalicious, Big Gigantic, Mountain Standard Time, and more. The band’s unique and versatile blend of funk, rock, jazz, and hip-hop influences are founded on a strong rock instrumentation and supplemented by a Hammond M3 organ, synths, trumpet, melodica, talk box, and more.
The band from left to right are, Logan Stahley (Trumpet, Synthesizer), Joe Sheehan (Drums and Vocals), Jordan Rodenbiker (Bass and Vocals), Weston Lewis (Guitar and lead Vocals) and Garrett Rhinard (Keys and Lead Vocals).
CFTC has rocked crowds of 3,500 plus, shaking booties at prominent regional festivals such as Sweet Pea Music and Arts, Music on main, Bobcat Fest, and Love your Mother Earth. Having released their long-awaited debut album and completed their first regional tour in 2011, CFTC is working hard and playing harder in order to realize their first national tour & major festival appearances in the summer of 2012.
